An assassin with a sniper scope would have shot him in the head.

I'm leaning about the assassination with you guys. Maybe the glass deflected an intended head shot, though. Palmer looked like he got hit about where tracheotomies are performed. Survivable?

Thank goodness you all were thinking something weird too. I thought it was so strange that he got it in the throat. Maybe they were just trying to be unconventional.

I spent an interesting afternoon with a Korean War sniper. He said that his target was always just below the adam's apple. Assuming no windage he said that 6 inches either way and you had a kill. I'm sure others have better info/experience and I welcome their comments.

I wondered about a hit in the throat like that killing him??? It was sort of off center to the left of his windpipe.

Can't wait for tonight, my electricity better not go off. Kind of stormy for Texas lately anyway. :)
