Every year I keep saying I'm going to watch it and never do because I figure I am too far out of the loop to bother now. I was so tired yesterday and fought to keep my eyes open to watch the end of the game and then was going to crawl on my hands and knees into bed but I sat there one minute too long and caught the beginning of 24. Within three minutes it was too late to bother with bed, I was hooked. I've never had a TV show keep me on the edge of my seat like that.
Aaack!!! Our idiotic local Fox affiliate cut the show off exactly at 10:00 so they could go to their local newscast. I was thinking "Well, here we go with Heidi, Part II". Thankfully I had the live thread to somewhat make up for it.
This morning's paper had a big article entitled "'24' gets cut off in last 10 minutes--TV fans hit the roof when local newscast begins before show ends." They said that they would re-run Sunday's entire episode, but not before tonight's second episode. I would not want to be them this morning at all.
Last night was the first time I had ever watched it too and I'm hooked too. Fortunately I now have Comcast DVR. Now if I can just figure out how to get volume while the channel is being taped. Im taping it on the HD channel and I cant hear anything so I had to switch to the regular broadcast channel.
Maybe I should read the instructions that came with the converter.....
I NEVER used to watch network TV regularly (although I followed JAG for awhile.)
24 hooked me, as did Alias (at first, lately, I'm not watching as religiously, LOL), but I also got hooked on LOST (not as action packed, but clever writing and flashbacks into the characters lives...and the flashbacks always surprise me because I think I've figured out the character, but am usually wrong.)
