I didn't like the guy in CTU whose sister got killed in season 3 but he turned out ok. Prediction: Jack is going to get hurt trying to save the greasy kid.

The way Palmer looked at the paper and then walked directly to the window and stared out reminded me of Liddy telling someone during Watergate, that he was willing to stand on a corner and take a bullet if that was what the powers that be decided was the best course of action.
He just didn't want to be "taken out" in front of his family or something.
I'm going to miss Palmer if he really is dead...time will tell!

Yeah, but Nina went bad within 12 episodes of the first season.
