crotchless bloomers?
I thought the same thing. When it was released in the mall, the ones they showed exposed were in a very bad way (the little girl and the woman inside in particular) but last night they just dropped dead almost instantly.

That's what happens when you have writers making it up as they go along, instead of having an actual plan laid out for where the season is going and how it is going to get there.
This show could be so much better if they had professional writers instead of hacks.
And "Oh my God! They killed everyone!"
"You bastards!"

One would suspect that the terrorists, wanting to be able to infiltrate CTU, would investigate the employees looking for a weak link.
Once that link is found, it's easy enough to expolit a couple of druggies looking for a big payday.
That said, how Rudy got into the building is a mystery and sloppy writing.
Also, a secure building should log people in and out. A second attempt to enter a building using a card with someone already logged in should raise a flag.
This show is compelling and all, but the writing is increasingly lazy.

When they showed President Logan that video, Mike Novak (IIRC) said to Logan, this video is a different agent, but the affect, is similar which I took to mean the affect=death.
Looking at any work too critically can take the enjoyment out of ~anything~. :~D
I don't think so. They have made a big issue out of Tony's need to "speak to Jack". Tony knows something we don't.
I'm not trying to read too much into the apparent fast and painless deaths inside CTU. They only really showed people collapsing... they didn't focus on them.
Oh, I know. But it irks me to no end that they not only have no master plan, but they seem to be proud of the fact. I've read several interviews with various cast members that have mentioned how the writers don't have a plan.
If I were being paid to write a hit TV show, I'd be embarrased to admit that I just wing it and have no real story to tell.

In some things.
Part of the reason is that they have a better shot at keeping the script secretive. The key to 24 is the shock value.
I thought that so I went back and I think it was because we were watching him in a mirror when he pulled the bandage off, so it came off his left side. We were seeing HIS perspective as he looked at himself in the mirror.
I don't know why the didn't have much better bandages on him though, burns shouldn't be left in the air like that, it should be killing him by now.
Question: How did the Head Hobbit get back into CTU after his card had been stolen? Wouldn't basic security protocol at that point have noted the missing card and shut it down?
I mean they found the card had been used even after it had been modified.
I can't argue with that. If you don't have a master plan, there is very little chance of it leaking out.
Remember season 2? The nuclear bomb? What happened after the bomb exploded? Does anyone remember?
The show peaked too soon and the writers had no idea how to finish the year out. It was all anticlimactic. Planning broad story arcs beforehand would have prevented this.

I wrote off the failure to discover the card was missing as lax security, they probably waved him in, or he followed someone else in....
