John Astin adopted Sean. Patty Duke is his natural mother.

I want 2 hours a night of 24. I hate waiting til next week. :)

On March the 6th, "24" will be 2 hours long..so that is something to look forward to..I have a feeling it will be the episode where the motorcade goes through downtown Los Angeles (which I'm sure is never crowded, and is a good place to set off the nerve gas, without any Americans being killed by it).

Is Sean Astin Patty Duke and John Astin (Gomez)'s son?

There has been a strong rumor going around for years that Sean Astin is actually the son of Desi Arnaz. There is definitely a strong resemblance between them.

Thanks for all the comments.

Last night was pretty good.

I was surprised the Yellow Tie Guy got a knife to the gut. I wonder if Jack and CTU will continue to look for him, or find his body?

Is CTU's phone number listed in the book? These Terrorists seem to have one hell of an easy time getting through with out going through a switchboard.

Once again Jack shows off his superior shooting skills. How far was those shots he took on the roof 20-30 yards? That's some damn good shooting.

I'm still up in the air on whether or not Honey-Bunny's boyfriend is involved with the terrorists or if he's just another dumbass druggie. Either way I see him doing a bit of blackmail.

I thought Samwise was gonna get caught and exposed last night close to the end of the show. Did you hear Buchanan ask for Samwise's Key Card to access the phone records?

I love the show, but doesn't it seem like we've seen this all before? "Arrest Jack" -- like there's a new one.

Taking Jack into custody with anything less than the full "Hannibal Lector" treatment is dumb, dumb, dumb.

Why do they need the route? Won't Fox News show the motorcade all the way to the airport? Aren't they going to the airport?

Anytime the President has come to my town, they announce beforehand when they are going to close down the interstates, etc. I just don't believe that it would be impossible to know without insider knowledge how to get to the airport. If nothing else, a few operatives could be out in the city and report what roads the SS shuts down.

And why is everything happening within 10 minutes of CTU?

Everything in LA is ten minutes away from everything else. This you just have to accept cause watching hours of people stuck in traffic would be boring.

How did Lynn get back into CTU without his keycard? If he had to show ID, he didn't have any. Are we to believe they simply took his word and let him in even though he had no identification?

This is still the big hanging curveball out there. Especially since they went out of their way to show us how the assassin was led past security into the building by whathisname, Chloe's one night stand.

All in all a good episode.

Even though Sean Astin is a liberal, he is an old-school liberal with class and great pride in his country.

Sean proudly serves on the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation, and he also faithfully served the Secretary of the Army as Civilian Aide (Southern California) from 1995-2005. He has made numerous PSAs on the Armed Forces Network and has visited our troops to show his support for our military.

24: Point-Counterpoint

Point
: Jack Bauer could not have shot down one of our AS 350 Ecureuil Helicopters with a handgun.

Counterpoint
: A redneck with a squirt gun could shoot down your euro-trash.

Todays '24' news article:

Smart plays a loose cannon on '24'

Her latest TV role - as First Lady on "24" - is miles from her defining role on "Designing Women." But Jean Smart is definitely up to the challenge.
