Less Derek, more Jean Smart!
They need to use that scene in an Energizer Bunny commercial: "Terrorist bomb batteries not working? Try ours . . . ."
I want to make clear, I have read NO spoilers or have any knowledge, just speculating, but I won't be surprised if we don't get an Aron-the-Secret-Service-Agent vs. the mole/presidential advisor shootout in the future. Aron deserves his shot at glory.
Curtis was there under the old code. The decision to abort or not listen to a hostage under duress or do the opposite would be major for an assault team leader. He would have known what Jack was saying. But the writers were going for Sean's character to make a splash.
"Now I have a machine gun too. Ho ho ho."
Actually, since I'm writing on Tues. morning, Samwise saves Jack's butt by recognizing the "Flank 2 Position" code. Course, he speaks elvish.
I hate him. He looks like a cross between a gay Vulcan and Corey Haim.
Er, what isn't in Martha's bra any more?
I want Aron the Secret Service guy to have five minutes with Walt.
Is anyone keeping an official body count for this season? I think we are at 6 or 7 so far. I have:
1. Knife kill at oil ref.
2.&3. killed in car at oil ref.
4. Palmer's shooter
5. Guy in bomb vest that exploded
6. & 7. Terrorists killed in shootout
I'm not counting the baggage guy and lead terrorist as they killed themselves. Any to add?
I don't think that you are. What I think is missing is a spiritual component to these people. Many would be making their peace with God, telling their family that they loved them (as you wrote). However, the networks have to remain somewhat politically correct, so I doubt whether we will ever see this side of a hostage.
Momma's boy Derek did at first show some guts, when he ran in the airport to try to warn Jack. So I have to give him credit for that.
Well, duh. All he said in LOTR was "Mr. Frodo! Mr. Frodo!"
Does he get any credits for the FBI agents at Palmer's place? We assume they were just "immobilized", but the one encounter was blocked to us by the FBI agent's car.
Or, perhaps, something more sinister. Walt had already turned her, for fear of her job. Just possibly, the assistant absented herself on his orders.
why is it that I cant get the picture of Dereks "nose snot" out of my head either...
Going from memory here...wasn't there an Italian who had been taken hostage in the Middle East a while back who defied his captors in such a manner? I believe his quote was "Now I'll show you how an Italian dies!" just before he was executed by his captors? Now that's courage, and I will always remember the example he set.
Fine,
I'll choose to like the kid. :)
Check out the "Magnificent Seven." I think they said the bad guy (Eli Wallach) had 30 gunmen, but Yul Brenner and the boys kill at least 40.
someone said that they had a graphic at the start of the show: 18 Months Later.
Yes, exactly.
