I saw that in some of his "social conscience" comments, but no way when it came to foreign policy. This is the problem with some libs---they completely mis-perceive what is actually happening. If this is true, it means Dennis Haysbert thinks that Clinton "made tough choices" in foreign policy.

Oh my gosh! I'd be FURIOUS! Happened in South Carolina

‘24’ gets cut off in last 10 minutes
TV fans hit the roof when local newscast begins before show ends
By ADAM BEAM
Staff Writer

Midlands fans of the FOX show “24” are used to cliffhangers — but nothing like what happened during the fifth-season premiere Sunday night.

WACH-TV, Columbia’s FOX affiliate, cut away from the last 10 minutes of the blockbuster show to start its 10 p.m. newscast — leaving fans in the Midlands hanging.

“Somebody has lost their mind,” said Steve Arnold, a fan who was watching the show at his Irmo home.

FOX has been promoting the show’s two-part, two-hour season premiere for weeks. It was scheduled to start at 8 p.m., after the conclusion of the NFL playoff game between the Carolina Panthers and the Chicago Bears.

The game went long, pushing the start of “24” back about 10 minutes — and ideally pushing back the start of the newscast.

WACH has a contract with WIS-TV, which produces WACH news programs, to broadcast its news at 10 p.m. If, for some reason, WACH has to delay broadcast, the station can record the newscast and air it later.

Sunday night, that didn’t happen.

"Let me give you something for the pain" (or something like that, right before he knocked the guy out in the car in the parking lot.

I can't really remember this one, but I remember loving it, whatever it was he said...

You have to remember, it's not the actors that design the characters, it's the writers. And since Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran are not only creators but writers on the show, and they are big conservatives, I see more of an "ideal conservative foreign policy president" in Palmer. Definitely not Clinton and Carter.

Jet Li is as innovative as Jackie Chan when it comes to using props to do karate combat, although usually without the humor. One scene in "RMD" is an exception, however.

You also have to check out "Kiss of the Dragon," "Cradle 2 the Grave," and "Unleashed." I think he's a pretty good actor. OF course, a classic in this genre is Chou Young Fat's "The Replacement Killers," with Mira Sorvino.

Yes. He walked away from Hollywood for awhile in the 90's. He had a ranch in Montana for awhile too.

I read that this morning. I would have had to do bodily harm to someone at that station!

Don't forget, as good as the season has been so far (only two episodes in!!), we haven't even gotten to Sean Astin's role.

He's already filmed 9 episodes, and you can bet he won't be playing Rudy or Samwise.

It exhausted me!

OT, but we adopted a 2-3 year old Pom from the pound at the end of Aug. He's just now getting to where he can tolerate us leaving the house without barking for too long. I think he picked up the tension we felt watching '24' last night, though. He seemed a little stressed!

That's funny, cause mine didn't. My bulldog pup slept through the whole two hours. Which is kind of funny considering that my girlfriend used to sleep through some episodes when we watched previous seasons on DVD.

Derek kinda' looks like Kim. And, when he and Chloe were running in one scene, I was afraid that Chloe was going to get shot and Derek would survive. They both had the long, flowing hair thingie going....

Wouldn't it be funny if the Globes got spanked in the rating by 24? Bet it will.

That would be so awesome!

I'm kinda' hoping Derek is a survivor. At the very least, if he is killed off, I hope he's doing something heroic at the time.

He was such a jerk; I'd like to see him redeemed.

I thought it was so strange that he got it in the throat. Maybe they were just trying to be unconventional.

Could be. You know what else that throat shot reminded me of...the Zapruder film when Pres. Kennedy also pulled his hand up towards his throat.

It gave me a very eerie and sad feeling.
