Today, on the final week of the NFL regular season and on the eve of the new year...
Denver vs. San Diego - 4:30 PM
Tonight...
Oakland vs. New York Giants - 8 PM on ESPN
Tomorrow shall come a new thread.
WHO SHALL WIN?
Go Bucs! Win the Division!
Big hullabaloo here in Chicago about the starters even playing...Wrecked GrossMan prolly won't even play???
If San Diego is already eliminated and Denver is already a lock, do you happen to know why a SD win puts Pittsburgh in the playoffs?
Are you kidding? I have been on vacation since the 15th, its an effort just to will a team to win! Its back to work and school on tuesday, though.....:(
And it looks like Bruschi is going to be fine for the playoffs.
I have not a clue...the matchup stuff is black art voodoo...
Only some maintenance guy at the NFL headquarters knows...he switches it all up at night...likely to be in division/out of division won-lost on toadal points vs. etc.
LOL
G
Ain't it the truth, but thanks anyway. It just seems weird to me that an eliminated team can bring in a third party by beating an uninvolved team (since Denver has already clinched a bye).
All I can figure is that if SD wins, maybe that gives them a better division record than KC, thus eliminating them. Then, Pittsburgh beats out SD on tie-breaks even if Pitt. loses. I'm a Steeler fan, so I'll take any ticket to the playoffs I can get.
From ESPN.com....
3. A Chargers win (note: although Chargers have been eliminated, if they win vs. Broncos and they, the Chiefs and the Steelers all finish at 10-6, you would break division ties first. Chargers would win tiebreaker vs. Chiefs based on common opponents [8-4 vs 7-5] and that would eliminate the Chiefs. They would then go to tiebreaker vs. Steelers, which Pittsburgh would win based on its head-to-head win vs. Chargers).
Go Eagles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*
* Since a Washington loss opens the playoff door for Dallas. My support of the Eagles is a one-game-only event.
Thanks for that, nhoward14. I guess I was pretty close with my guess. Cool. Good luck with your game.
San Diego to win this one,....'Home Field' win rule is ON.
A pre season game is more interesting than this DEN-SD game.
Yep. BORING. (is watching Naruto on Cartoon Network instead)
I bet even KC and PIT fans are having a hard time getting through this one.
Giants-Raiders underway on ESPN.
Game time.
Raiders have the ball.
G-Men should win even if they don't play anywhere near their potential. This could be the worst Raiders team ....well, since 1962 (when they went 1 - 13).
Exciting start. /sarcasm
That should have been ruled a catch and down by contact.
