Maybe you're right. I'd never received a message from him, so I was thrown for a loop.
But, now that I think about it, why would they take the time to respond to someone who harasses them weekly?

Well, whether it was directed to you personally or not, it was still a CYA e-mail.
I would have preferred something with a bit more honesty, like "Due to the intransigence of 4 rogue Republicans who think their egos are more important than national security..."
