We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good evening!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
TWU Local 100 agreed to go back to work in New York, ending the illegal transit strike there. Two million dollars worth of fines, pending appeal to a New York State Appellate Court, has been levied against the union local, and Gov. Pataki has said they will not be waived. No change in the negotiating position of either the union local or the City of New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority has occurred, and there exists the possibility of another walkout.
Saddam at his trial indicated the United States is "the number one liar in the world." The trial has been adjourned until January 24, 2006. In other words, so far, there have been four or five court days and weeks upon weeks of nothing.
And President Bush stated "it's been a good year for the American people."
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Caue, the Chairman.
This CYA email was in my message box when I returned from my grocery trip this afternoon:
Subject: Moving America Forward In The 109th Congress
Thomas Jefferson once said: In matters of style, swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock.
We Republicans have stood on principle in the 109th Congress. And the results are plain to see
Weve secured Americas ECONOMIC STRENGTH by passing:
Deficit Reduction Bill Because, like everyone else in America, Washington needs to tighten its belt and learn how to do more with less.
Tax Cut Extension Because now is NOT the time to raise taxes on hard working Americans.
Comprehensive National Energy Policy Because we MUST begin to reduce our dangerous dependence on foreign sources of oil.
SMART Grants Because we need to better prepare our children to compete in the global economy of tomorrow.
Highway Funding Bill Because we need to fix our broken infrastructure system and rebuild our highways and ports.
Central America Free Trade Agreement Because we need to eliminate barriers and open the doors to 44 million new consumers of American goods.
Weve secured Americas Homeland and Commitment to the Military by passing:
Patriot Act Extension Because Americas safety comes FIRST, and we need to give law enforcement the tools they need to track suspected terrorists and break up terrorist cells.
Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief Because we need to rebuild the Gulf Coast and help our fellow Americans return to their homes.
Defense Authorization Because we need to ensure that our armed services have the resources and authorities they need to protect America.
Prohibition on Torture Because we will do what is necessary to learn what we need to know to protect America, but we will not mistreat the people we have in captivity.
Emergency War on Terror Supplemental Appropriations Bill Because America will not relent in the fight to spread freedom in regions of the world long plagued by tyranny and fear.
Weve secured Americas sound government by:
Confirming Chief Justice John Roberts Because hes a man of principle and integrity who understands the importance of judicial restraint and judicial independence.
Confirming Seven Obstructed Judicial Nominees Because the Presidents nominees deserve the courtesy and the respect of a fair, up or down vote.
Passing Twelve Appropriations Bills Because Government should work for the people and respect the taxpayers hard earned dollar
finding efficient, effective solutions that maximize freedom and opportunity for all Americans.
Weve secured Americas Responsibility Culture by passing:
Class Action Reform Because frivolous class action lawsuits were bankrupting small businesses, punishing consumers and increasing the cost of doing business in America.
Bankruptcy Reform Because too many Americans came to look at bankruptcy as a first stop, not the last resort that it was intended to be.
Gun Liability Bill Because greedy trial lawyers were unjustly targeting the gun industry with frivolous lawsuits almost ALWAYS found to be without merit and dismissed costing U.S. firearm manufacturers $200 million in legal fees, and putting the jobs of hard working Americans at risk.
Weve secured Americas Health by passing:
Health Care Information Technology Because we must commit to developing a 21st Century system for the delivery of health care information that is ACCURATE, INTEROPERABLE and easily ACCESSIBLE.
Avian Flu Legislation Because an avian flu pandemic is no longer a question of if, but when. And while we dont need to panic, we DO need to be prepared.
Cord Blood Legislation Because cord blood technology is a proven means for producing cures and has the potential to improve the lives of millions who suffer from a variety of diseases, including sickle-cell anemia, Krabbe's disease, and other lethal illnesses.
The list goes on.
We passed legislation to help protect the Boy Scouts from baseless ACLU attacks; we passed legislation that will help combat Americas #1 drug problem Crystal Meth; and, on the border front, weve taken dramatic steps to protect our nation from those who seek to illegally enter it.
Leading on principle
we are facing our challenges; we are taking action; we are governing with meaningful solutions for the American people.
In the days ahead, we will remain vigilant in the War on Terror; we will work to protect our borders; and we WILL confirm Judge Alito to the Supreme Court.
My friends, with your steadfast support, we are making a difference. We are securing an America that is safer, stronger, healthier, more prosperous and FREER than ever.
And for all that you have done to help us along the way, I thank you.
Bill Frist, M.D.
By sheer coincidence.........
Em was here earlier & we were watching Paula's show. Em couldn't believe the ingredients.........it was some kind of cake......brown sugar, butter, whipping cream, eggs, etc. etc. etc. Very decadent......very sweet & fatty; and then she topped it all with some equally sinful frosting.
Em was practically gagging.:)
Bread pudding made with Krispy Kremes would be too much even for me, I think.;^)
Glad to hear from you, an glad to hear about Ev. If I don't touch base with you before Saturday....Merry Christmas!
I'm going to call it a night.......up at 6:00 tomorrow to pick Em up for work..........hope the roads aren't too icy.:(
Before I go.......just have to share this with y'all:
Heeheehee!
Good night everybody!!
My s-i-l used to make bread pudding with 1/2 stale bread and 1/2 day old cinnamon rolls. Very tasty - especially if you like cinnamon.
No heavy sugar/rum frosting on it, and the light frosting on the cinnamon rolls made the bread pudding just sweet enough.
Hee, hee, hee! ;)
Hi Mozie - thank you again for sharing Ev's email. I'm so glad he sounds so good but 40 hours without sleep?? - I would be a bear.
I knew you were busy with your shows, etc. Are they over with now? Hope you all have a nice Christmas.
We're supposed to get the freezing rain tonight after midnight. Hope it misses us. It was 42 degrees here today so some of our snow is melting but we still have enough for a white Christmas.
Merry Christmas!
My mil driver's license is permanently lost, as long as I have E-2s through E-4s to drive me. Or, barring that, O-3s through 0-5s. The O-5 was a pilot, and scared the ever living cr@p out of me when he drove a ground vehicle. I prefer E-2 through E-4 for a driver.

MERRY CHRISTMAS, Rav!!!!!
Great #51!
Where is everybody? GC6 is usually around and C-mom. Think we should start yelling?
Good morning! I slept a bit late this morning.
Good Morning.
I am very interested in knowing if other people who have contacted Senator Frist's office multiple times via email received the message I got from his office yesterday.
Apparently, they are tired of my criticism.
Ha! Too bad if Frist's office is tired of hearing from you. What a bunch of wussies.
Good morning.
I received the same mailing. I haven't ever contacted Frist's office. I think it was a general PR mailing to anyone on the RNC e-mail list.
