Teddy killed a woman because he was too drunk, left the accident scene, etc, etc. I haven't heard a reporter ask why he's still in the senate since that happened. Not one.

Maybe if Cheney did choose to resign (over something so stupid), Condi or Mike Pence could be named as a replacement!

And what are the chances they'd actually be happy if he did? Would they like ANY replacement Bush chose? No. They'd say it was politically motivated because Cheney wouldn't be a viable presidential candidate. Bottom line. Bush can't win with these creeping lowlifes no matter what he does.
