unless I missed a post or two, I haven't read how you plan to celebrate this year. Hope you have a joyful day. :) Merry Christmas
Well Darlin', the first day of our celebration is Noche Buena, the evening before Christmas, which I am sure is celebrated all over the Spanish speaking world.
Noche Buena and Christmas day allows families a day with each side of the family tree. In our case the family will celebrate with the husbands' families for Noche Buena - so we seven single ones will celebrate by ourselves.
The most important thing about Noche Buena is the food, which in our part of the world means Marisco (shell fish), lobsters clams shrimps etc. as one of the plates. My daughter will be making the fish soup to start, then second plate will be seafood and rice, made by two of the guys. This is followed by the meat course and lots of mouth watering postres.
To your horror all this excess will start at about 10pm. and go on until about 2am., in preparation for the Christmas dinner, when we will have seventeen people.
I will try and take some food pics.
Merry Christmas to everyone.
