Mine was TBI, and was quite easy to work on. I got it with 40k and retired it after I blew the trans at 180k.

I had an '88 Celebrity that I bought with about 38K milres while I was in the Navy. I put a new (used) engine in it at about 180K miles, and kept it until the rest of the car fell apart at about 250,000 miles. Sold it to the junkyard for sixty bucks.
