Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Home is behind, the world ahead
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I have come to realize that part of Jack's appeal is that he's always asking people to trust him while he's holding them at gun- or knife-point ...

They're already in their fifth season? Wow, time flies! I remember my brother telling me about it when it first came out...doesn't seem that long ago.

Whew... quickest two hours on television! (Re: "24") Fetch. Muh. Medicine.
Wow. Just. Wow. I love this show.
Thankfully the game ran a little long or I woulda missed the opening. Jr's girlfriend's ride didn't show and kept callin' sayin' she was on her way. At one point she instisted on going back into the mall to wait. We started home and the friend called again so we went back and took her home.

Hey, was great meeting you too! We'll be checking out the pics (not the "patients" one, though!) ;)
To: RosieCotton
The first two seasons are out on DVD, right? The first four are on DVD. Do them in order. You'll be hooked.

Thanks!
Of course, now that they are gone, we're still trying to wash off that sticky sugar coating off the house....as well as switching all the lightbulbs back to normal from that rosy hue...

Sorta like this, just need to rearrange the numerals...
To: RosieCotton
heh, head down to the student union, they usually have (or did) a TV room setup with movie type seats. Watched TV that way when I was an undergrad; or do college students have TV's these day?

Don't stare too long or you'll become hyp-no-tized! (old David Letterman joke!)

This afternoon I've been listening to music I stole from Jen, who stole it from Talon, who stole it from you. ;-) I like a lot of Celtic semi-rock, but your assortment appears to be different from mine. I have a LOT more Wolfstone and bands like that, but I only had a few tracks of Great Big Sea and Runrig that came on sampler dealies. Good stuff.

Thanks!
The scary thing is? It was like having *two* of my brother around... only two of my brother being lovey-dovey... *SCARY!*
I *do* hope it's not catching...

I dunno what a student union is...If I have four seasons to get through first, it'll probably be next season before I'm ready to start watching live, provided I have access to TV then!
To: RosieCotton
Man, I could do a whole bunch of those graphics for this part of the thread...

The scary thing is? It was like having *two* of my brother around... only two of my brother being lovey-dovey... *SCARY!*Ha!
I gotta say I'm really glad my sister-in-law is *nothing* like my brother. In his case, that really, really wouldn't work. They'd likely both have gotten themselves killed by now.
To: Corin Stormhands
Yes it is. We're both glad it's back. There were over a thousand posts on the live thread, didn't follow it, I need to focus on the show.

To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Er...only different, now that I look at it.
