AMERICA - The Right Way!! (WEEKEND EDITION: Days 1784 and 1785) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | December 9, 2005 | All of Us

Posted on 12/09/2005 5:16:19 PM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Well, climate change must be real after all. Heck, UOx42 said so at the Montreal conference on the subject, so it must be.

The GOP has launched ads where DemoncRATS, such as Howard Dean, are making anti-war remarks while having a white flag from time to time wave in front of their faces. Way cool!

Scientists have learned the Earth's north magnetic pole is moving rapidly from its spot and will likely move into Siberia in the next 50 years. (Obviously George Bush's fault.)

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

You're ahead of me. I have some small gifts wrapped, the small tree partly decorated, some send away gifts partially wrapped, haven't even thought what to serve for Christmas dinner, except I will smoke 1 turkey, don't know if I'll roast one. I'm really slow this year.

This morning we were invited to a pre-Christmas brunch plus a Republican meeting. Our Republican Party President, rose toward the end of brunch and announced no one ever had a free lunch, so we needed to participate in the meeting. It was fun. Met some really neat people. Tonight we will participate in our annual business Christmas party.

My mother would fix deer liver with bacon and onions. No one has come close to fixing it like she did. She's serve it with mashed potatoes, gravey and baby peas. I liked it, and have tried it since, but the taste isn't there.

Ugh..you could serve liver with Baked Alaska and I still wouldn't eat it. I am glad you enjoy it, but there is no way I could tackle it.

Got a lot of decorating done downstairs, and am done for the day. I have a nice martini Mr. Marple made for me, and am perusing the news. I just love this time of year.

Greetings all. Busy day.

I HAVE MY TOOLS BACK! ALL OF THEM!

I took the old frenchman back his screwdriver and told him that in the future, I would not be borrowing tools anymore, but if he needed any kind of tool made for him. I HAVE THE TOOLS TO MAKE TOOLS!

It's good to have my stuff back. Everything. Steering wheel puller. Got it. Wood rasp. Got it. Tiny files. Got 'em. Half inch drive sockets. Check. Log splitter. Over there. Maul. Got it. One pound brass plumb bob, that screws together so the string actually goes through the CENTER (I made that)... Got it!

If I don't have it. I can make it with what I have.

God has blessed me with what's left of my stuff.

We eat a lot of salmon, trout, halibut, seaweed, kelp, salmon eggs, herring eggs when we can get them, etc., actually we'll eat anything from the sea that doesn't get us first. Yes, we take fish oil capsules too. Swim when you can, it's good for the body and soul. As soon as I can after my hip replacement, I'll start walking the golf course again, I miss it.

I've seen some saltwater tanks. The fish are beautiful. I'll have to look those fish up, I'm not familiar with them.

I'm not camping anymore, or living out of a duffle. THATs why I'm happy. It's been a long road. My buddy from NOLA went with me today to help me. Suprised Trill a bit, but I don't think my buddy dates guys. Don't ask, don't tell, speculate like he!!.

Anywho... I think the reason G and I get along so well is that I've lost so much, and it's been over a rather long time that I've put my stuff back together. She lost everything in Katrina, and is just now getting to the point of beginning to see what she CAN put together. We're both storm survivors. My storm was different from hers, but we both wound up in similar circumstances.

Either way. We're going to help each other until we're both on top of our game again.

Part of that is brothers-in-arms, part is Services camradiere, part is wingman loyalty. And we're both good people.

It's been a time of new beginnings. New friends. New home. New church.

Great day to be alive!

Good evening. I had to post this...

The City of Oldsmar decorated their fire trucks with lights, wreath, sleigh facade, and Santa Claus. They're driving the kids (and adults) around playing carols, flashing lights and sounding the siren.

And Santa as he passed boomed out on the loud speaker, "HO, HO, HO, MERRY CHRISTMAS!" Kinda cool.

Maybe I can get the First lady to go with me...

Oh john, I am very happy for you. You sound very upbeat and that's a good sign. Just stay cool, and take one day at a time. Good to hear you have a good friend.

Well, gotta get ready for the party tonight. Take off this face, and put on another. Can't scare the party goers.

Till tomorrow. Y'all have a great evening.

Nite All.

Miss M...my martini tastes sooooo goooood.

LOL! His comment (turkey tongues and eyeballs) has become our family's code word for anything yucky!

We have a whole group of sayings like that in my family. My youngest sister was really fond of rhumba panties, which she wore once she was toilet trained. She called them "ballet panties."

A few months after she was permanently wearing those panties, my dad asked her to clean up the toys she had dragged out. Her answer? "I don't have to, I hve ballet panties on!" Hahaha!

Now, when anyone in my family wants to NOT do something, they say: "Sorry....I have ballet panties on."

Pinto bean soup and cabbage for supper. Too bad I couldn't afford beer and pickled eggs, but it's good enough.

Sometimes, it's good to be single.

I do NOT draw the cover over my own head after an emission. ;>)

The only thing I'm missing is the dog to sniff the air and look disgusted and move away...

All others... It's a guy thing.

I've been going thru my school books from culinary school. At the back of one, I found some sheets that I had printed. Stuffed in a pocket. Probably out of my reading material stuff. I saved it.

It was ATRW, day 788, post 236.

I recommend all that can, read it. And if it can be posted again... That would be a good thing(tm).

WELCOME!

Newcomers are indeed welcome - the only requirement is a support of the "cause."

Yes - prayers for the world and our troops in these troubled times is indeed in order.
