Under those circumstances, couldn't her insurance carrier or the garage provide her w/a loaner car or a rented car? I'm sure the insurance company will go after the taxi company to recover the costs of repair and other expenses. Meanwhile, through no fault of her own, you both are tremendously inconvenienced.

(My daughter had a similar experience several weeks ago, and the garage supplied her w/a loaner car.)

Daughter is under 21. Usually that makes rental cars impossible, as I think their age requirement is at least 21 and possibly even 24.

It's an idea though, will see what insurance says. We are trying to let daughter handle with insurance, might as well let her get all that experience.

Although she received no tickets from the incident, I know this will make premiums go up. sigh....
