Forrest Gump, et al, have made a movie that proves this lie is like a crock full of bull squat. Phew! Better know what you get!

Someone found Mary Magdalen's tomb long before Tom Hanks did because her toe is a relic in the crypt of a church in central France. Really, I saw it. I'll have to look up the name of the town but they swear its her toe.

"The DaVinci Code" was a straight out rip off from "Holy Blood Holy Grail" by Michael Baigent.

I read it in the 80's, it was better than the "DaVinci Code" by a mile.

The DaVinci code is just an overpriced detective novel, and not a particularly good one at that.

So, we will never know whether Mary Magdalene’s crypt contained a secret new Gospel or Opie’s grocery list.

I smell "sequel".

Many historians have dismissed Brown's version of events and his central claim that Jesus had a child with Mary Magdalene ad nauseum. IN fact this novel is a derivative of the Kazantzakis work "The Last Temptation of Christ" which was condemned by the Greek Orthodox Chruch...and rightfully so.

No I have not read it and knowing what it's about have no wish to waste my time doing so. I have read a number of critical reviews and like other works of fiction don't have to read it to know whether it's worth my time or not.
