Em is in La Crosse, WI, this weekend, playing piano accompaniment for 3 college students at some type of music competition. She gets her hotel & meals paid for, and receives compensation for her work.

She just called & is having the time of her life.

To put this in perspective: one year ago today she was on the verge of a major collapse. One year ago tomorrow, she went home after Grandpa's funeral and took to her bed and did not get up for 5 days. One year ago next Thursday, she began 4 day hospitalization for depression.

What a difference a year can make.

She's off all meds and, in her own words, is able to think clearly for the first time in years.

I'm sure there will still be "down" times but I am very, very grateful for the progress she's made.
