Whether this is done in honest parody or in the darker sense of DU-style anger, I don't get upset.

Unlike liberals who operate solely on emotion, conservatives operate on ideas. Therefore, any parodies of Free Republic, whether genuine or hostile, should be taken in stride.

Unlike DU, MoveOn, and all the other hysteria-driven liberal sites, FR is here to discuss the issues, poke fun at others and ourselves.

Here at FR, we have the ability to honestly laugh...

Actually, I thought it was pretty good parody--over the top, of course, but that is one of the hallmarks of the genre. Heck, I laughed.

And I could swear I'd been on a thread or two like that...
