depended on what was handy. breadpans, old sweet potato tins, whatever. Nonnie (my maternal g'm - whom you may or may remember) used an over-long, but narrow breadpan-like container, and only made one loaf. WONderful. and she made cinnamon buns, too. the 350 oven rule.
