LOL!! Garfield is funny!!
glad you're feeling better. this thing is kicking my butt good and proper. my trainer/infector is feeling better, may he rot, but i gave him a steroid shot yesterday - got him with celestone, which burns like hell for a couple of minutes, but works very well - and now he can eat and everything. with any luck, i'll feel more human in a couple of days
YAHOO!! The method acting ball!!
I have arrived, and am now caught up on the posts.
Enjoyed the discussions. As for IQ, I have always felt that what mattered most is how much fun you have -- but it's my personal conceit that smart people have more fun.
I hope you feel better too.
You were asking (begging) for it.......
Hi Bob. I skipped the couple of hundred posts that I missed. So I don't know what was said about IQ.
"...but it's my personal conceit that smart people have more fun."
Maybe that's because smart people can think of more ways to have fun, and think more things are funny. But then, that's just MY personal conceit. ;o]
I found that stuff for you. It didn't take so long now that I'm decongestant-free. LOL!
A link earlier today -- post 2456 -- to a website with free online IQ tests you can take.
Begging?
Lucky me. I haven't had a cold or the flu in 15 years, thereabouts. However, I always feel like I'm coming down with one of each, but never quite get over it. I feel bad for those of you who have to take time out from your otherwise busy lives to deal with a virus or bacteria.
I remember having horrible colds which always settled in my chest. It may not have been too bad, but I suffered from pertussis when I was a very short person, and I still have the cough from it. It sounds much worse than it is.
I hope you are on your way to recovery. If things get too bad, make a hot toddy. My friend, Alice, told me they really work. ;o]
I'm afraid to take one now.
screw IQ. what matters is your family and your God and your world and how you relate to them. i'm sorry. a patient just called. her fiance was found dead in his truck today - he was a trucker and was on a cross-country run. he called her last night and said he was going to lie down for a while. they found him this afternoon. when you retire for the night, always try to be at peace with the world and your God, and if you love someone, remember to say so. nobody ever promised you tomorrow. they tell you in med school and residency never to get attached to your patients, but i don't know how you can be an effective physician and not love them, even the ones who drive you nuts.
Einstein said, "God does not play dice with the Universe."
It may have just been that Einy couldn't sucker God into a quick craps game.
Sure, God knew He was unlikely to lose, but why take a chance?
Dang, I couldn't get the page, I'll keep trying.
I think he plays dominoes!!
