1. Indianapolis (7-0; unchanged): The Colts are rested, but are they ready to show the nation they have conquered their Gillette Stadium demons?
2. Denver (6-2; 4): The Broncos enter their bye with the comfort of knowing they have one of the most complete teams in the league.
3. Pittsburgh (5-2; 2): Good teams find a way to win even on a bad night, but Big Ben's health remains a concern.
4. Cincinnati (6-2; 6): Yes, that was a Hall-of-Fame-bound quarterback the Bengals' defense overwhelmed.
5. N.Y. Giants (5-2; 11): After an emotional win for Wellington, the Giants need to guard against a letdown at San Francisco.
6. New England (4-3; 7): The Patriots must show dramatic improvement over their performance vs. Buffalo if they have any chance of handing the Colts their first loss.
7. Atlanta (5-2; 8): Michael Vick is going to need to be much sharper than he was before the Falcons' bye in order to have success against Miami's defense.
8. Seattle (5-2; 9): The Seahawks should pick up where they left off before the bye at Arizona.
9. Dallas (5-3; unranked): The Cowboys can rest easier with the knowledge that they have some nice depth at running back in Marion Barber.
10. Carolina (5-2; unranked): Steve Smith's amazing comeback continues in dramatic fashion.
11. Tampa Bay (5-2; 3): With the Panthers coming to town, the Bucs had better fix what ails their offense -- and fast!
12. Jacksonville (4-3; 5): After an upset loss to St. Louis, the Jaguars can't allow the Texans to make them their second victim of the season.

It will always be 3 Rivers to me.
the Giants remind me of what Dallas was like in '89, '90, & '91. Slowly building the core of the team, getting the supporting cast and learning how to win under tough circumstances. Tiki should have a better line in front of him. Imagine his production with a good O line. With Eli, the Giants will be a force to be reckoned with. I am thrilled to no end that they shut out the 'Skins. Really impressive! Can't wait for the rematch Dec 4th between the Cowboys and the Giants. Should be fun to watch.
yeah...
I want to see if the Jints can finish off the Iggles....
In that, we are both in agreement. The Iggles are going down fast. Seeing Phily lose always brings a smile to my face.
Outstanding defense, running game on track with Marion Barber, two of the best receivers in the league in Johnson and Glenn.
You were speaking of a one dimensional team?
LOL
yeah...
I have a good friend who is an Iggles fan. Thankfully Penn State is good this year and hockey is back, or else I would be worried that I would find him swinging from the coat rack or something :)
I hope it don't reach that pitch w/your friend. Sheesh, it's only a game. :)
Simple. You've played the Lions twice.
ohh I know...
I just say that because Eagles fans and Red Sox fans tend to talk more crap than just about anyone else....
Agreed as to the Cowboys defense. Lets see how Barber does over the long haul. Johnson and Glenn are slightly above middle of the pack receivers but Bledsoe gets happy feet way too easy IMHO.
The problem with the Cowboys is Parcells' play calling. When he lets Bledsoe pass on first or second down, the Cowboys win.
Finally the Cowboys had a decent draft. They are finally getting some pieces of the puzzle in place. Unfortunately it appears Julius Jones is too injury prone to be the long-term answer at running back. I expect them to get even better as the season goes on, that is of course if Parcells stops being so damned conservative in the red zone.
That's a prescription for three points in this league.
I sure do like the defense. Any time you hold a team to 13 points, week after week, you ought to be able to win.
I wouldn't write off Jones just yet, but he's likely to be playing back up to Marion Barber.
The NFC is just that bad. Besides, Atlanta is the best team.
Pittsburgh is ranked too high, same for the Patriots.
The Colts are for real and have a chance to go 16-0. I am not sure they are really that good as much as the other teams are mediocre. The Colts are the only team in the NFL with a solid defence AND a solid offense.
But the Red Sox has something the Iggles don't: a championship trophy and rings to go with it. The next Super Bowl the Iggles win will be their first. They are still five behind Dallas in the East. Another thing. The Iggles are the ONLY team in the NFC East that DOESN'T have a vince Lombardi Trophy in their trophy case. Don't ya just love it?!
LOL
yeah but Red Sox fans were like Philly fans even before 2004....
You are now in line to get the #1 pick....
Just our luck... we'll screw that up too!
