A late good afternoon! I have been cleaning and running errands most of the day. I don't have to meet the schoolbus today because my daughter-in-law is home with a bad cold. I took the opportunity today to get some projects started, since I don't have to drop everything at 3PM and leave.

Peach, my continued prayers for your brother. I hope they solve the mystery soon. I know this is very worrying and that you are close to your brother. I would be in the same boat, if it were mine.

Alito is a great choice! I have been quite happy today listening to the democrats whine and insult. I also was glad to see that the reporter from CBS apologized to Scott McClellan for his vulgar comment in reference to Miers/Alito.

Starting to sprinkle outside. I hope we get trick-or-treaters, or I am going to be stuck with 40 Reese's peanut butter cups.

Word on Capitol Hill already is that the Dems are not going to be able to filibuster Alito, so they will work extra, extra hard at destroying him between now and when the hearings begin. Once he gets through -- and he will get through -- we should see all sorts of heads explode. Well done Mr. President.
