Hobbes needs a friend, I think, but I need to find a cat about her same age. She's such a stick-in-the-mud.

Your male will be happy when the twins are home. I'm sure your male will be a good mommy to them while they recuperate. Oddly enough, neutered males often make excellent "moms."

Tomas is an excellent "mommy", even if he is a bit rough. He likes to pin them down and lick their ears, but he outweighs them by 20 pounds so I have to rescue them on occasion.

I'd hoped Phoebe would mother them, but she remains aloof. The kittens like to "ring her doorbell" from time to time, then run away with their tails in the air, laughing, while she hisses.
