The dentist gave me vicotin (sp?), but I only need it at night. That's odd, I think.

It twinges during the day and is no big deal, but at night it throbs like crazy and I have to take a pill to sleep. But only after the sun goes down. Some kind of weird atmospheric-dental vibrations in the universe, maybe?

I think the blood pressure in your head increases when you lay down.

Maybe thats it.

Everything hurts worse at night. Ask any doctor. Vicodin is an excellent product - a combination of hydrocodone (an opioid) and tylenol. The addition of an anti-inflammatory - say ibuprofen or naproxen (aleve) - if you can toloerate them, might prove useful as well. I hate tooth pain. And if you go to the ER with a toothache, the personnel look at you like you're some kind of druggie. Granted, I have treated people I knew were druggies by injecting the nerve in their gum, but I didn't use marcaine, I used lidocaine, which burns like all get out, and I didn't use a nice small 29 guage needle, i used a 25, which is sort of like a harpoon comparatively. And I put about a half cc in there, which is overkill in the extreme. Then I informed them that they couldn't possibly be in pain anymore, although they swore up and down that now they were dying. And they never came back. Dunno why not. I was very sweet to them.
