When I want to use "instructions" to figure something out, I always find they don't answer the questions I'm asking.

The best learning tool I have found is FR.

:-)

"The best learning tool I have found is FR."

And the best motivation to use it.

I have very few computer skills beyond turning the bloody thing on and selecting the icon that transports me to the function that I want.

It really wasn't until FR that I felt bold enough to change not only the icon that lets me into my part of the computer but to change my password. It was at that moment that my husband realized that he'd lost control over the internet.

The tutorials at the html sandbox are marvelous, but I can't figure out how to do half the stuff I'm supposed to do, in order to do the thing that I went there to learn how to do in the first place! Things like keeping a "clip board" or some kind of short cut list. The spirit is more than willing but the knowledge is nonexistent.

Prout, when you stop thumping your head on the desk, this will all seem pretty darn funny.

Anyway, I need a manual in one hand and a keyboard in the other. I'm determined to become as adept as all of you.
