To: Dead Corpse
Aw crap... I went and did it again...

Leg day today. Started with my typical warm up of 15 minutes on the elliptical.

Then I went to the leg press. Still no idea how they have the gradations on those weight stacks marked, but it felt like I was doing about mid-300's for 4- 15 rep sets. Then I went on to the Squat rack. Loaded up 135 and cranked out a 20 rep set. Upped that to 225 for 15. 285 for 12. And a last set at 315 for another 10. These were full "bottom out" squats where your thighs dip below parallel to the floor. It's about time I finally started working on correct form. Then I went on to the seated toe raiser machine. Loaded up 180 lbs and went 4 sets of 15. Then on to the leg curls, again with the funky numbering system, but it looked like a stack of around 75 lbs, but felt like a ton at this point. Again 4 sets of 15. Last up was leg extensions. At this point, it was getting hard just to stand up. Massive "pumped" feeling in my thighs. Still I pushed out another set of 4 set of 15 at what started out feeling like about 125 lbs, but ended up shaking so badly by the last set that I almost couldn't lock the weight out at the top of the rep.

Now, it's a few hours later and the "pumped" feeling is still there. A sure sign that I really over did it.

I realize that most people would just shake their heads at my idiocy and wonder why the hell I'm bothering to recount all this. It's a bit like a blog/diary. A bit of venting to help wrap my head around what I've done, why I've done it, and what I still need to do. It may bore the heck out of you, but just please bear with me and ignore my little "post workout" ramblings... I'm not doing this to try and impress anyone, so feel free to ignore it as much as you want...

Ow.
Massage those legs- get the lactic acid out as much as you can. Force water intake. Take a nice slow stroll this afternoon.
