What is freezing fog? We had fog yesterday morning which made the drive to church spectacular (fog, golden early am sun, brilliantly colored trees). Just had to drive slower in order to spot wayward deer, wild turkey, and the occasional peacock.
Peacock? Beautiful!
There's a house I drive by in the morning that has a complete barnyard... chickens, goats, geese, two peacocks, and whatever wild thing stops in for a meal. It's right smack dab in the middle of a zoned residential area, but nobody seems to mind. It's kind of neat to drive by and see the peacocks perched on top of cars or walking down the sidewalk.
But around December or so we sometimes get freezing fog. That's fog that has been "supercooled" below freezing, but it hasn't turned to ice -- until it hits something like your windshield. Nasty, dangerous stuff.
