Doing fine, thanks. Just so gloomy here. The heart and head wax to the Finno-Ugric side of me.

It's dark and cold here too. A good day to write and reflect.
To: Colonel_Flagg
Absolutely, perhaps a move into the Lair would be nice.

Well, it is found

TWO photos actually.
;-)
I used the body from one photo of her, and the head from another.
Thanks!

Laptop breakfast with Tonkin!
My favorite laptop story is: I gave mine to a 14 yr old cousin and he is in 7th heaven.

Well, my day didn't start off too good. The computer vomited this morning. Blue Screen. "Memory Dump". Things are back to normal now.
Just got back from the gorcery store. Got some chicken for supper.
Went down into the low 30's last night. Warming up now.

Darling Sarge!!

We miss you.

I don't think my laptop has ever done that. What is the cause of that? Does it lock up??

Mornin', Ms Feather!
It isn't raining at this time ~ it is supposed to start raining at 1900 hours and get heavy at 2400 hours.

Well, actually my speculation is it's all due to adware. One of the techs here at the Canteen thought that might be the reason.
A couple of years ago, I went to Newsmax. Upon leaving the webpage a slew of pop-up ads began showing up. That's when I knew something was up.
The last I used Internet explorer was earlier this month. At that point the browser would close before I would finish an Internet run.
Since then I've been using MSN Explorer and have had no problems.
No, the computer doesn't lock up. This thing happens when the computer is coming on. I get a blu screen. Then, I have to use the power button to reboot.
The last time it happened was a couple of months ago. It was more frequent in July.
Whoever's been using this ad-ware deal needs to be locked up and the key thrown away. This is really a messy deal for us computer users.

Did you get the free adblocker? How about down loading Fire Fox for your browser, and how about spy ware software, did you get that??
I have IE set to block all pop ups. When I come to FR and want to use the pager, I just click on the pager icon and hold down the control key.. the pager comes up.
Sometimes I run FoxFire, in some ways it's faster, but works alot like NetScape used to. I threw that out years ago. (Netscape.)
I have Spyware Stormer which I run after I have been on the web looking for graphics, they alawys place tracking files on the puter. I get ride of them fast. Spyware Stormer is a software I pay for, but there are many free ones at the links provided on the computer threads we have here.
Also, EGC, do you defrag your hard drive? That compresses the files to make more room on your hard drive.
Well, can't do much about folks who advertise any way they can, just like junk mail in snail mail.
