"Mayor Bill White today encouraged Houstonians to support the Houston Astros in their first ever World Series appearance against the Chicago White Sox by wearing their team gear and discarding their socks. The Mayor declared Friday, Oct. 21, through Sunday, Oct. 23 "No Socks" Weekend in Houston."
