Yes, after the week I've had, I'm very glad not to be on call. I am, however, on call the week of Christmas. And now, it seems that right before Christmas there is suddenly no money to pay us our travel reimbursement that many of us depend on for such things. This is money that we pay out upfront to do our job, and they want to stiff us on it right before Christmas! We're not talking $25 or $50. We're talking hundreds. We generally get them monthly as long as we get everything turned in. Last year, my TR check right before Christmas was just under $1000. I don't have that much coming this momth, but enough to make a significant difference.. One of our workers has 3 small children and is owed nearly $800. And ya know, somehow I just don't think that the people making these decisions are having their own Christmas funds cut into.
Makes me wonder whose pocket that went into.
Had something like that happen with CPS here in NY, and somebody was pocketing the emplyee bonuses.
