Aaaaaagh! I just got a call from the Republican congressional committee, wanting me to donate, because "we need to keep the Republicans in Congress to cut spending and secure our borders against illegal immigration. Don't you agree?" Yes, I agree, and why haven't they been doing it? Aren't the Republicans already a majority?
"Well, that's why we need your help to stop the democrats blah blah blah...". I don't even know exactly what he said, I was starting to see red and hyperventilate at that point, and he still had the nerve to ask for $100 as a "special gift" for the upcoming election cycle. uh yeah. Then he started lowering the amount like it was some kind of negotiation. No go, pal. He then said his computer was having problems so he couldn't continue the conversation any longer. Great. I got some such trash in the mail yesterday. I tossed it without reading it. I'm so disgusted with the whole mess. I saw a slogan on another thread awhile back that fits:
REPUBLICANS: BECAUSE WE SUCK LESS
I can't believe they had the gall to call and tell you that. What a crock. I'm so disgusted, I can't even stand to read FR or hear anything lately. They have finally stopped sending donation envelopes after I returned so many, with them paying the postage, writing in big block letters: NOT A PENNY UNTIL THE BORDER IS CLOSED. I've heard a lot of people are doing that, and also sending in pesos.
