I am sick of everyone turning every crisis into a Book and movie deal.

I couldn't agree more (make way for Katrina movies of the week in time for Christmas!). I think it was the reporters pushing the God angle more than anyone else. She saw an opportunity to make lemonade from lemons, so to speak.
