I've seen some saddles with the seat suspended in a raised web. They look like they'd be a comfortable ride...

Yeah, I know what you're talking about. They're called a Trooper saddle and quite a few of my riding buddies use them and say they are the most comfortable saddles they've ever ridden. Tucker makes one like this...

but I know an Amish guy in Etheridge, TN that makes a really nice one that's very reasonably priced. He made the one that's on the black horse in this picture. It's several years old and very well worn, but the owner loves it.

Those are ~interesting~ looking saddles:). I've never seen anything like that. They look like they would be comfortable, but also, just from looking, like you would loose some contact with the horse????

Your pictures to Hair of the horseshoes reminded me to run out and get some pictures of Harley's new shoes.

Teri called them frogleg shoes, but Chris had never heard of them. He said he understood tho why she want's this done, keeps his foot on the ground longer with will extend his stride...???? I don't get that. Looks to me to do that they would have to extend out the front rather then the back. I'm not getting the mechanics of this, but he did, so I guess I'm OK. I may run him back to the vet and have Teri check it to make sure we've got it right.
