I couldn't sleep if there was a question whether I didn't suture up the site well enough on a cat/dog. I am not perfect and there's been many a time a trip down to the clinic in the middle of the night resulted in a quick look and a goodnight to the patient and client. Then there was the time it wasn't a minor thing.....
IOW kennel the cat until first thing in the morning and get it in.
