No. I just watched. Friday evening, he worked with a really rank young horse. It got pretty hairy at times, especially when he was working with the rope. But, he stayed calm and let that horse work things out on his own with the rope.

Several people left during that demonstration. Once things calmed down, Clinton turned to the audience and remarked: "Now that we have gotten rid of the tree huggers, let's get on with it!"

He doesn't have much tolerance for people who call their horse "sweetie" and never expect it to behave. He is quite funny when he imitates these people. I am sure you know someone who calls their horse sweetie, feeds it treats all the time, gets pushed around by the horse all the time, and then excuses the behavior, but also is always saying that they just can't understand why their horse doesn't a. walk quietly beside them on the lead, or b. won't load in a trailer sometimes, or c. decides to tank off and take a tour of the property, or d. pushes them around, or e. bites/kicks them.

Anyway, you will enjoy his clinics if you get the chance to go.

ROFLOL, Good for him. I love it. The sad part is those people need it the worst.

I must admit that I do call all the horses that I work with "sweetheart" :-) but I don't take any crap either. Right now I'm working with a very pushy appy who has no respect for people or personal space, and I have no qualms about pushing him around, because he needs to be pushed around. We had a lesson with the gate the other day because he tried to bully his way out. He's also very strong in hand, and I'll walk him up and down the property stopping and starting and stopping and starting again so that he has to listen. It usually works like a charm. He's not bad, he's just never had to learn manners before now. (And he's gotten much better)
