Well, my bird book shows their range covers the entire US and up into Canada and Alaska.

Here's the limb that took out the fence... It doesn't look like much now, I'm guessing that the snow and ice that made it heavy enough to fall has since melted off. Along this section of fence there are ten wires, six inches apart. It only broke one of the wires but the rest of them are all loose and stretched, they sagged loose even after I pulled the limb off. They all need to be individually tightened, and they pulled the insulators off.

The power supply for the whole fence is right there, so I can't turn the fence back on till it's fixed. Needs done today. :~(

But beyond that.... winter wonderland pictures... the horses are still in the barn :~D

The wire stays tight, but the white electric tape we used on the top just sags like the loose rope barriers they use in the bank to make people form a polite line :~D They really do snap back up tight when it melts... mostly. There's some that I think will need to be tightened elsewhere.

This little pine tree in the back forty looked like a very pretty flocked Christmas tree this morning :~D

This is the area where I saw the coyote. It's all scotch broom that is laying down flat from the snow.

View from the pasture back to the house :~D
