Even with my open stalls I always stand at the front and kiss to them till the turn and face me if I have to catch them while they are in there or go in and feed. Rocky throws his feed pan all over and it might be at the back sometimes. He has to face me before I go in and dump the feed.

I've been ok so far. Mine turn and come to me without calling and stand to be haltered and stand after I take it off until I'm out. I was trained to bring them in and circle and close the gate, kind of at the same time and to make them stand while I go out 1st. I guess 2 reasons maybe. She doesn't want their butt going by and loose horses in the barn. How do you get yours back in though? I'm assuming you take their halter off before they go in.
