Yes I do. He was turned out with some other horses. They got into a turf battle. Henkell is usually very respectful of fences but forgot how close he was and kicked out and through the fence. He got his left hind hung over one strand and just torn off all the flesh trying to get free. It was a metal post and cable fence. The cable is not good for horses as it is a stranded steel cable attached via high tension. He must have done it late in the evening and wasn't found until the next morning. He was quite shocky due to pain and loss of blood. The barn manager didn't think he was going to make it.

Fortunately, the hock and the associated tendons and ligaments escaped injury.

That's exactly what happened to Grace but she was lucky and got out without any major damage. It was a barbed wire and t-post fence and she bent several posts and loosened the wire quite a bit getting out. The fact that the wire wasn't that tight and the t-posts gave is probably the only thing that saved her. It's minor compaired to Henkell, but this is what her injury looked like...

It happened a couple of months ago and you can barely tell it now. I realize now by reading about Henkell that it could've been SO much worse.
