Yeah, I don't think Bob's knee will have hair on it since they had to cut off that huge flap of skin. I don't think hair folicles come back in scar tissue that big, but I'll hope for it anyways.

I don't think hair folicles come back in scar tissue that big, but I'll hope for it anyways.I hope the scarring is as minimal as possible too, on such a pretty and young horse with so much potential. But I think regardless, his dark black legs will help make it less visible than if he were any other color.

Awhile back, I assisted at a tailgate castration of a large stray Rottweiler. (He showed up at the barn and wouldn't leave, he is severely dysplastic in both hips, we figured somebody dumped him when they found out how much the surgery would cost.) One of the little barn rat girls wanted to keep him, her parents said o.k., but he would have to be neutered. So the vet said he'd do it for free, on the spot. So I scrubbed up and held the instruments . . . I was an equine vet. assistant long ago, as a high school summer job.
