Beautiful big full moon here too, admired it in the dark as I was driving the kids up to school. The air is so clear from the cold front coming through, the moon was the palest and brightest I have seen it in a long time.
Yuu lunging that dog? :')
I didn't get home til late and my eyes were adjusting and I thought it was a "gator" at first glance:')
Good morning everyone!
~sip~
mornin. I'm having a slow day too. I'm not going in to work for another hour or so. Are you thru with Seatle?
Yeah - don't have to do that again, but I do have some other trips to make this week.... one today in fact.
Hello and good morning to everyone. This is my first time posting at Saddle Club.My wife Beckie and I live in north central Ohio.We currently own 5 horses ans a pony. The horses are all quarter horses except for one,our Missouri Fox Trotter-named Mr.TwoTone.The pony is a rescue-we got to her just in time, about one more day and she would have died.A real sad case of abuse and neglect but she is fine now and pretty much rules the barn!
Well, welcome to the saddle club!
And thank you for rescuing the pony. I also have a pony that is something of a charity case, she's just a little too nutty to be a good child's mount, but we love her.
We also have an older Arab who is my riding horse, and a mustang Arab cross that is my husband's riding horse. We trail ride now, in WA state.
There's a few others from the Ohio area that are regulars to the saddle club. Miss Targets has a few horses in Ohio, and estrogen. Estrogen has a gaited horse also, a Rocky Mountain Horse.
You can see all of us, and our horses, on our "who's who" page. We'd love to see pictures of yours. Be warned, I'm considered something of a nag about pictures, but I just think they're so helpful in being able to picture the faces and horses behind the screen names and stories. ;~D

Welcome to our thread. I have a couple of Quarter Horses too:). I trail ride here in OK. My kids all do rodeo events, ropeing and barrels. As a matter a fact, I'm watching my grandson tonight with my daughter in law and son go work their horses, and I'm going to send my camera with them. I'm hoping Kristy can get some good pictures of Charlie roping. We've never had roping pictures posted yet.
Be sure to post here frequently about what you are doing with your horses and do take pictures.
I am currently sitting here pouting:) I can't bet the bobcat started:(. So I'm having to gear up to dragging panels again today. I've got one done. I think I only need two more. But that seems like so many:)

Oh bummer about the Bobcat.
I took the salt licks away and the pony is searching for them in all the places they've ever been put, like an addict looking for a fix ;~\
I hope after a withdrawl period she can go back to normalcy. I hate to take it away, but her stall is a swamp in the mornings.
Taking it away should break the habit. I did that with Rocky and he doesn't do it as much. He still licks his more then Harley does. Harley hasn't touched his hardly.
I think the problem with the bobcat is that since it's a diesel and was run low it's hard to start. It will have to be pull started. I should have waited to start this project till Mack could help. But he's working so much to get all his jobs done before the weather shuts him down, that it might be awhile, and once I got the idea I didn't want to wait. That will teach me:).

Look at this way. City people pay big money to belong to clubs where they can get the kind of workout you're getting ;~D
Finally got a few pics of our horses... our Arab and TB.
But my old digital camera will only work on one of our four computers. And I won't have access to it until later this week. Will post them when I can.
Also had a couple of fun trail rides this weekend. But lost some good trails after a new landowner kicked us off his property (he just bought the property from his wife's dad this year. And he won't let us pass thru the corner of his 40 acres to access the rest of our trail, even though his father in law has given our group permission for the last 12 years.)
:-(
We look forward to your pictures!
Too bad about getting kicked off.... Perhaps with some diplomacy you can work something out with the new owner.
I bet you do. That sure is a pretty fella.
LOL....I've got another one half way to where I need it.

The thing about gyms in the city is that you have to go. At home, work gets done. I've decided not to sign that membership. I don't have enough time to do all the things I want to do , much less the things I don't. I'm just going to have to get "fit" some other way:')
Welcome
Oh, looking forward to your pictures:)
It's hard not to get cross when people block trails. I know what you mean. I've had alot of the trails I've used for the last 18 years blocked the last few years. More and more people moving in around here and everyone seems very protective of their property.Luckily I still have enough for an enjoyable ride, but it's gotten to where I ride the same trails everyday, where as I use to have more varity.
