This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

So how's the house cleaning going?
It's very cold here today, and suppose to stay that way thru most of next week.
A friend of mine brought me some roosters yesterday, one has already flew the coop, the other two are running all over being stupid, and fighting with the one rooster I had. I don't know if this is going to work:(

Cleaning's going well, we've made a lot of progress. Will make more progress today, I hope, and tomorrow hopefully my dad will bring down the carpet cleaner. Then, if the handyman has finished his tasks, the place will be almost ready to move into.
Oh - good news... I finally asked, and Tiffney said, without hesitation, that we could certainly borrow Kat, the chestnut QH I was hoping for, when you come. :~D

I called Kristy a few minutes ago, I have a cousin that lives in Wash. and when I saw what town you live in today, that is really ringing a bell, it might be the same town. Anyway, Kristy kept her list of addresses from when she sent out wedding inviations. But of course the page that my cousin would be on is missing. So I'll have to talk to my dad.
Anyway she asked me why I wanted to know and I told her I was planning on making a trip to see you and figured if it was the same town I'd probably try to get hold of him...maybe:) When I told her I was planning the trip, she was like "you're going to pull a trailer that far!!"... I said no, I thought I'd ;just buy him a seat on the plane with me:)

No, it's not Olympia he lives in it's Renton. I just googled it:) I'm getting pretty good at that. I think his brother lived in Olympia, but he has since moved to Fl.

I can't remember. I think he's going to start selling a few used cars on the side out of that building they've got downtown. That way he can drive the nicer ones for a while and then sell 'em.
