I just watched it from the link.... I think that's one of the best ones yet, though I love the one that they did as a 9/11 tribute.

This one made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, and the screen got a little blurry.

I like to see draft horse colts, almost bought one when I bought my Percheron mare. The colt, from a different mare, would not allow me to get near it. The mare that I bought had to be pushed away as we walked along looking at the herd.

The moral of the story is do not buy any horses or cattle that run away from you.

I've found another one of those "way back" properties. Nice but it needs 1392 feet of weather road, water and power lines:')

Went to look at some land near here yesterday. Lots of road frontage with year round creeks running through it. It is an old farm with an old home on it. Almost 200 acres and I am afraid to ask how much to buy it.......

Sounds really nice. What would you do with it?

I know you should never hit a horse in the head but is it ok to smack um in the mouth if they try to bite you?

Build up another herd of cattle and live on it. It does lay in a rural area, just perfect for cattle.

You would be really proud of me. I just wade thru the beasts to get to my horse now. When I complained I was told it would make her a good cow horse.

You darn tootin it is ok to smack a biting horse. That is not an ok thing for a horse to think it can get away with. I have heard of one guy that almost lost his arm after he was bit by a mule.

Just don't chase the cows with your horse. The cows will take on deer-like qualities, able to jump over almost any fence.........

I will ask the owner for a tour. If possible I will take my camera.

I've noticed that. Sarah Lee will act like she's gonna get them sometimes. They almost jump out of their skin.

The bad thing about wild cattle is that you have to pay cowboys to round them up for you.

Good evening:).

I've been trying to get back here all evening, and finally managed it. So funny, after I talked to you this morning about the seeds I planted, I checked them and I've already got 4 seedlings coming up. Hollyhock. I guess the house is warm enough:).

It's suppose to get pretty cold tonight, I may move them into my bedroom where a heater will be on.

Celia called, and she is coming to ride tomorrow afternoon. She is bringing a young one she is just starting to ride. She has been riding him in a round pen and wants to get into something bigger. I'll try to get pictures.

Becky

Hi there... :~D

Been plotting and planning all day about the HH'r that may move in next door. I finally got a locksmith out to open it up. OOOOH it needs a lot of cleaning to be livable.

BUT - it was nice and sunny today, and that makes everything look more hopeful. Took the horse's blankets off so they could run naked on the grass, which they did, after rolling in the mud.

We're supposed to have sun now for several days, and I sure look forward to it. I want to start lunging the horses whenever I can, get their minds and bodies back in shape after the long vacation.

Capital Forest opens April 1.

There's some nice days in March that we might conceivably start going to the other place that's open all year.... it's riding on logging roads instead of trails.
