The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

Well, we're trying to decide what to do... We may send Ruthy up to the beach house - it's more fun to watch a storm up there with the water.... and a little safer up there too.

I'm at risk of not being fun to be around if it gets 40-60... I'll be a nervous wreck.

Or it could be that it doesn't affect us at all... sometimes nothing happens :~)

I can't see the pic but aren't they amazing? When I first started nursing school , 2 lbs were very small babies. Now they are surviving less than a pound.

That's weird about Cyn. Ya gotta wonder if something scared her in there the last time and she's expecting it to happen again. Strange!

Good afternoon. Orientation done and they gave all the instructors the afternoon off. I have to do some business stuff and then I'm off to the stables. It is so nice here. Work 1st though. Trying to start a business shouldn't be so hard. I have no plans of accepting government funding but I still have to have two applications from the state approved. I have to have a business name too. Sigh. I just want to work for myself and teach. Oh well, hoops to jump if I want to have more time with my horses.

Didja try to copy and past the properties into your address line and hit enter? That works for me but I'd like to know if it works for anybody else.

The address line is the place where you see the "http//www.freerepublic.com........." and all that. A lot of times if you can't see a picture if you'll right- click on it, then click "Properties" then right-click again and choose "Select All" then right-click and choose "Copy", then go up and paste it on the address line and hit enter, it'll bring it up for you. It doesn't always work, but it does sometimes. Did I make any sense?

Little miracles, aren't they?. Ok, I'm out of here. I like everything done yesterday and it isn't going to happen today. I have a session at the college on small business help though. Sigh. I wanted to order my business cards today lol. Oh well, I'm going land looking and horsing around awhile. Later, yall.

Oh, scratch that property I was talking about. There were problems. Be thinking about what we can do with another 7 1/2 acres that's almost a triangle though:')

Pink Iris, Pholox, Caladiums, Glads, (red, white and blue:) Glads are my favorite flower I think, but I have trouble keeping them standing. Every year I try something new. This year I've planted all of them in a corner of the house and fence and then ran short trellis's diagonally across the front of the corner.

I'm filling the front flower bed behind the rocks with all differnt colors of Iris, I've bought, pink, black, blue, I had several shades of purple ones, yellow, and a champange one.

I'd love to just buy some of every kind:). I have trouble resisting. Every year I'm getting more and more perinnals. Most of the ones I'm trying from seed are perinnals too. But I bought a couple of boxes of mixed wild flower seed too, that I'm going to use to fill in spaces.
