Good for you, when is next time? Keep us updated:)
Speaking of time in the saddle it's time for me to go get the horse saddled. See you all later.

I got to ride on Saturday. It was nice and cool. So cool in fact that I ended up wearing 3 shirts, but boy was it nice after all this heat we've had. I was riding a loaner, a Spotted Saddle horse mare that belongs to my riding buddy. I sent you the video clip of her a while back. She's a huge, big boned mare, but she sure does ride smooth. She needs to loose about 300 lbs, but if she was ridden regular she would make somebody a shornuff nice ride. Here's her picture. Her name is Spot...
We had a really nice ride, although not a very long one. Most of our trails are still closed with downed trees from Katrina and Rita.

Very cool... I am glad you got to go on a ride... Most times, I'd rather wear three shirts than be too hot ;~D

Well, those sure look like they're engineered! Is this something that would be recommended for any horse that has foundered with rotation, or is this to correct his original axis faults?

How did you find this trainer? Will you be going to her regularly now or is this a clinic-occasional thing? What are her philosophies?

Bluebonnet (my dog) laying down and the shoers dog making friends with her. Precious is watching from a safe distance.

Your Bluebonnet has that look of intentional disinterest though.... like if he gets too familiar, she'll turn around and nail him. ;~D

Someone around here recommended her. Reba will probably be going a lot. Me, maybe quarterly. She gave me a lot of stuff to work on here. Safety is her priority. What I really liked is that while we worked she explained how what we were doing helps. While in the saddle, while we worked on riding we also worked on horse behavior. What to do , in different situations, that kind of stuff. I have to go to work now. Pics later.

OK - cool - will wait for pics then :~D

...They lost my suitcase though so I didn't have my riding clothes or equipment until that evening... Now how the he// do you loose luggage on a BUS!? They must be extremely talented people. I wish I'd been there to hear you giving that bus driver the 3rd degree but I'm glad you got over it. I'd've hated for that 2nd driver to leave you on the side of the road with your thumb in the breeze.

I'm sorry to hear about Tuffy.

Cool shoes! I've never seen them hand made before. Very nice, but I sure hate the reason that he has to wear them.

Yeah, it was pretty funny. They never did get snappy or growlly with each other.

I had never seen them hand made before, either. The frog support was made out of a straight piece of iron then he welded it onto the shoe. The shoer really took his time to get them right.

Thanks, Duchess. I think Tuffy will be ok for the small amount of riding that I do. His bigger problem is his allergies. No more steroid for him and he'll mutilate himself scratching without it. We're gonna work on that, next.

That is really a unique mark on her rump. Looks like a check mark.
