And my poor kitchen:)
Becky
Heh... Yup... It all looks like it ~was~ beautiful :~D
We also have Tack shop gift certificates to spend tomorrow... ecurbh will finally get his new hackamore bridle and I will get ??? maybe new saddle bags. Maybe a hackamore for myself. Not sure :~D
Tired here - good night all! :~D
Oh, that's not fair. The rule at my house is the cook doesn't clean up. It's going to take you half a day.
Glad you had a wonderful day. Have fun on your trip.
Not even a stick pony?
Good morning! I love all of your pictures, your table was gorgeous. Did you put the white lace tablecloth over a red one?
I wish I could have had a sonogram like that, all of mine were the big blobs that I really couldn't tell anything about. The nurse was nice enough to print them out (the ones I had with my first baby), then outline the legs, head, feet, etc with a pen. After that, I could tell a little more about them.
Your grandson is going to have a blast with that rocking horse. When my kids were little they had one and they would go nuts on it.
How's the weather there? 75 here today, 80 tomorrow with high winds. We're under another burn ban.
LOL...it really doesn't take that long to clean up, and it's one of my Christmas treats to all the kids. They all work, etc, so I figure I can give them a work free day once a year. I discovered if I just don't stress about the mess, take my time, let a sinkful of dishes soak awhile, and go do other things, come back rinse stack, put in another sinkful, etc. it's not all that bad.
Becky
Thanks:) Yeah I put a red one under the lace one. I have to be careful with hot dishes, the finish on my table isn't that modern stuff that you can't hurt. It's pretty old, it was my mothers, and has been around since I was kid.
These new ultrasounds are pretty cool, rather scarey actually. I asked Jenny if it bothered her for everyone to see her insides so clearly:).
Becky
It's going to be a big goof off day for me. Paid Holiday, and I am not going into work. Just might play on the PC all day.
Good for you. I'm washing dishes, and taking down Christmas decorations. I'm ready to get back to normal:)
Becky
Back to horesy news. Last week I noticed on the calender that my shoer is due tomorrow. I went and looked at Harley and decided that I was going to call him and cancel for a couple of weeks. Harley's feet still looked great, and I was thinking about you being able to go 8 wks between shoeings, and I was going to try. Sat. I noticed he's pulled a shoe off:(, so the shoer is going to have to come anyway. I'm not sure when he did it or how. Anyway, tomorrow I'm going to make my next appointment for 8 wks and see how it goes. I won't be riding all that much, few times a week weather permitting.
Becky
I'd think you should be able to go 8 weeks... around here that's normal.
But I think it's worrisome that he's pulling shoes. He shouldn't be.
We're going in, soon I think, to the tack shop.... we've got gift certificates to spend there, $150 each :~D
We're thinking
New bridle and Hackamore for Cyn (first priority)
and perhaps shipping boots for her, since she doesn't have her own, and we've been splitting Bays and booting only their fronts.
New saddle bags for me..
Perhaps a new Hackamore bridle for me... I'd like to leave my bridle intact but have a choice.
??? We don't know :~D
We're back from our tack shop spending spree!
Have to put the bridles together, but each of us got complete new hackamore bridles, and I got some saddle bags :~D
We'll get them put together, get horses cleaned up enough to model them, and post some pictures in a bit :~D

We just got home too. We went to town to get my bike. We've decided to keep it awhile longer so I rode it home. First time in 2 years I've been on it. My hands hurt:)
Can't wait to see the new bridle. I want to get a new one too, to match my saddle. I'd like to get the Wintec one before my next competition in the spring.
Becky
First a certain amount of goofing off...
The horses are rather disgusting things of mud. It's been so rainy :~\
In this picture, I think Cyn has just said "You guys run... I'll handle ~them~...
OK - now to be caught...
Here's Bay in his new Hackamore all in black :~D I will still use his English bridle with the kimberwick bit much of the time, but I wanted the option of having a hackamore too. I like them for trail. Good control, but you can let them stop and eat a bit on breaks without the bit getting all green.
And here is Cyn in hers. Her headstall has a rather pretty detail on the browband :~D
The shanks are shorter on hers than on Bays. We would have bought two like hers, but they only had this one, and then a bunch of the longer shanked ones. I figured out of the two, Bay could use the longer shank more, and I can be gentle with it.
Oh - and here is the saddle bags I bought :~D
