The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

:) I've got the same problem.

Stay safe during hunting season, ride Harley in the yard - work him on all sorts of obstacles, etc. so you both don't get bored. My doberman had a problem with incontinence her last two years. I gave her tagament (sic) and asked her to sleep in the laundry room. I was very fortunate that she died in her sleep one night, I really worried about having to put her down. She went through hell and back with me.

Just been busy, work and home and about to go nuts with house guests. Love them madly, want them to go far, far away.

It kind of feels like Christmas time today. Overcast, chilly and drizzling.

Cindy can't hold her bladder as well as she used to either (I think). She will come wake me up when the weather is nice. If it's raining or cold she will pee in the floor in front of one of the back bedrooms. I have a garage so we put her out there.

LOL! I know what you mean.

I am very fortunate because my daughter is a groomer at PetSmart. She baths, clips toenails, and grooms my Jack for me whenever I want to take him in at NO charge!!

I also can purchase items and use her 15% employee discount, and we have a PetSmart here that has the State Line Tack merchandise in it. I try to save up purchases and then we make a trip to that PetSmart together so I can get the discount.

Mornin'.... Trailer trash neighbor update... They were issued eviction notices a few weeks ago... not just the ones living right up next to our fence, but also the ones that live in the 'main house' trailer.

So the simple answer is the trailer campers next door are moving. They've moved one of the trailers already, and are in the process of moving the rest of their frap, I guess, but it's goin' slow. They'll just be moving to a new place to park the trailers. Here's what's more... They want this! This camper belongs to a friend of mine who wanted to store it for the winter over three years ago. It's out in my near 'back forty' area of the yard. It's pretty rough looking now, but it's still dry on the inside, and my friend said they can have it.

They're thrilled, I'm thrilled, we're all thrilled.

Hey, yall C'mere. I want to share something with you. I went into the living room and my 4 y/o grandaughter was standing on the back of her sister's walker. She gently was hold the baby by the ears and the baby was turning and walking them in the direction she was tugging:')

Did you get back ok? Traffic was very heavy and it rained most of the way for me. I stopped and got the newspapers. There was some adds I'm going to follow up on. I got dark on me though and I didn't think it would be good for me driving around country roads after dark, so I took it on in.

Hi Cindydawg,
Just catching up! Children never cease to amaze you do they! LOL
Hows your househunting? We have travelled all over, looked at many places and not found that perfect place yet.

We are seriously thinking of renting where we want to move too, buying some land and building a log cabin. : )

Hey! I bet you are thrilled to see the backs of that shabby lot! I find it amazing that they want the "camper" at the back of your land.... it looks tiny and very old!
At least you dont have to plant anything to block out their mess anymore! : )

How cold is it there? the difference between KY and VA and GA was amazing. Coats to t-shirts! LOL
I am really missing the mountains now.

Hi friends. Saw a raffle near where we were staying, at the KY border and the grand prize was this beautiful grey donkey! Needless to say, I didn't let Deaconjim buy a ticket!
Seemed a strange prize! : D

Well, they ain't completely gone from next door yet, but they have got that camper out of here. :~D

Good grief it was extra super scary watching them try to get it on the truck, they didn't have the proper jacks for it, and that camper is really heavy.

They didn't get it completely on the truck yet, it's hanging off the back about two feet, but they drove it out of here to keep working on it ~over there~ so it's no longer our problem :~D

What's really amazing is that I stood there several seconds watching, debating whether to tell her to let go of her sister's ears or go get the camera to show yal:')
