The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

Yeah - I think we better buy ecurbh's new hackamore he needs there, even if it is a ~little~ cheaper online. I saw some pretty western bridles there yesterday in black to match his stuff.

Hi Cindydawg! : )

The land search is going Pretty good. We have a few possibilities. We have sold one house and are trying to sell our large one now. We had a lady come this week, and she is probably coming back again this weekend for a second look. We also have a family coming up from Florida next week, and someone from California maybe the week after. All good news! : )

I recently saw that you are thinking of selling your lake land again, have you decided and have you found anything?

I havent had the chance to catch up on posts but one of the best sites to sell your place by yourself is www.landandfarm.com
It's pretty reasonable and you can include a lot of pics. : )

We sold our other place by ourself and our attorney handled all the paperwork involved. Easy.

I talked to a title company today. They said they would handle all the paper work but we have to draw up a contract. We'll see.

I'm a mortgage loan officer for a large bank and other than getting the people to your home, the bank and title company do all the legal stuff. I don't know what it is like in your area but if you can afford to take the time to show the house and place the ads, you'll save mucho dinero doing it yourself.

In my area, for sale by owners don't fare to well, the big item being not having it in the MLS>

Good luck Cindy.

Is Bradshaw having another sale?

Saturday is my grandaughers b-day and I promised to take her to the mall to pick out her gift. I need to save my money anyway, my business is terrible.

Thanks. I may be over optimistic but I think just a sign and an add in the paper will sell it

Things are pretty good with me. A good friend of mine is finally coming home from Japan, so I'm excited. I haven't seen him in years. Though I'm sad for him, beacuse I know that he'd rather stay there for a while longer.
There's a new horse at the barn that I'm going to try out on Saturday. I'll try to have pictures. I've been pretty busy. I'm working on my senior thesis, and that has me going all the darn time. As a result, I've fallen behind in one of my classes. (oops) but that shouldn't be too hard to catch up with. (I say this now...)
Are you healing up ok?
