LOL - well, I figure when I end up in the poor house, I can at least say I had a couple of nice horses. And, I have to admit, hubby is having a ball.
That's what it is all about.
I think if I had to pick just one of the babes, it'd be Lacey, But I sure like Josey... She's marked really nicely now that she's done shedding out and we can tell what she is ;~D.
And True Quest sure looks like a nice English Horse. :~D
I think hubby will get around to updating these maybe Friday when he's off :~D
I think he deserves it, after all the years he's worked, to be able to put that energy into playing. This is something he's always wanted to do :) (He retired from three different jobs)
I don't know what it is about Lacey but doesn't her pictures just scream "little girl".?
You know, it's one of those things where you really want him to go to a home where he's loved and well taken care of but you see all this potential that you want to see explored also.
No hurry on my part - that's a lot of updating. I just posted all the pictures because I figured I'd be in trouble with the picture police :) if I didn't.
And she's a little terror. We are hoping now that she's being weaned, she'll develope some of her dad's personality and become a little more laid back.
Some guys were looking at the Appy stud yesterday and I'm thinking don't buy him yet. I think something is wrong with him though.
Sometimes it's something that can be fixed with diet or training, or overlooked depending on what you are buying for, but sometimes it's best to run real fast the opposite direction.
I know
night, yall
Good grief, you've got a mess of beautiful horses! If I had to choose the prettiest, I couldn't do it.
I think, with Tuffy's loud markings, he needs to be in a costume class with someone dressed as an American Indian.
"Usually she comes right to me . Tonight she ran away from me. She has never done that before"
She was showing off.
You are correct. Our Arab has bloodlines of Bey Shaw Bay, Bey El Bey and Khimosabi.
Thanks to you, I do know how to post pics. Now I have to figure out which one of four computers has pictures of our horses on them.
And if none, I will have to find some pics to scan in.
My life is so complicated. :-(
Duchess, the foals have turned out very nice. What a herd! We have been having some beautiful weather lately. Very strange for North East Ohio. It is suppose to all change this weekend. Oh, Biscuit is probably around 15.2.
Good morning... I just got woken up by the dog barking at 4:30... who I think was hearing something out in the barn. I got up and opened the door to listen, and at first nothing, then a horrendous banging of a gate and a couple thuds.
Now... It could have been the pony doing her annoying banging on the gate, but it's early for that, and it sounded different. The thuds were new. So I go out there and flip on the light, and Bay and Cyn are staring at me, the pony is standing in the middle of her stall looking odd. She's shaking a little... and she's shaking her head a couple times a minute. She won't approach me.
I went in there and she's ~hot~. Hot under her blanket, hot at her neck. She's still shaking her head, and the bedding is disturbed by the gate and she has shavings all over her.
She ~can~ move around, but doesn't want to, and I fussed around her. I got the feeling she's cooling off. I spent several minutes trying to figure out if she's sick or what.
My best guess now is that she got herself cast against the wall with the gate on it and got stuck and the last commotion I heard was when she got herself unstuck. I think the head shaking was her recovering from whackin' her head.
I refilled her water and gave them all hay.... she hadn't started eating hers when I left, but she was standing by it.... still havent ruled out that she's colicky and that's why she rolled and got cast in the first place. Gonna go out in a minute here and check her again and see if she decided to eat.
at 5 in the morning...
Can't wait to see pictures! Our horses are probably distantly related. I had posters of Khemosabi++++ on my walls when other young girls had pictures of Sean Cassidy and Donny Osmond.
Here's my pony this morning.... Trouble maker or sick pony? The jury is still out.
