I'm looking for a (conservative!) news oriented website (for kids/teens) that my daughter can bookmark and use as a safe source of current events/world news, politics, stuff like that.
I thought I saw something on here recently but can not locate it now.
Thanks for your help!
they need to make a teen Freeple site.
You may have seen this one on FRhttp://thepoliticalteen.net/index.php. There is a lot of bad language in the real world and there are photo's on this site with these words spelled out. I would personally not hide the ugly truth about liberals from my kids. You should filter out any content before you give it to them. I have a few hundred political links available if you want some. I can't guarantee their content. I give my kids the ones I think they can deal with and really, FR is one of the best.
My 14-year-old reads Free Republic. I ping her to articles that will interest her and are appropriate, and so do a couple of other FReepers whose judgment I trust.
There are some topics that we don't want to go into in detail at this time, but I think the majority of articles posted are decent for teens. Some of the comments aren't, of course, so one does have to watch!
try www.declaration.net
rdf
Free Republic would be a good site for my kids if SOMEBODY would stop posting pictures of Anna Kournikova.
Thanks for all your suggestions, she is 12 and just starting 8th grade.
That's a dare if I've ever seen one.
I think the Anna guy got banned. But there still seems to be a fair number of Jennie Finch and Diana Rigg pictures posted 'round here!
